Sabores del Abuelo is a family business born from the empanadas of my father, my best friend, and mentor, “Abuelo Eduardo”. He inherited his love for cooking from “il Nonno Vicente”, a cheerful Sicilian who emigrated to Argentina in the early 20th century.
Eduardo made his first empanadas at the age of 12 in the 1950s, in the old Mendoza with its cobblestone streets and streetcars. For decades, he has delighted family, friends, and people from around the world with the unique flavors of his empanadas. Today, Eduardo has been baking his ‘famous empanadas’ for over 70 years, primarily for his 7 grandchildren, and the legend continues.
Sabores del Abuelo is a fusion of Argentine and Italian gastronomic cultures. We blend the love and passion of three generations, bringing the aromas, textures, and flavors of our homemade empanadas, alfajores, and biscotti to your home. Enjoy them with family, friends, or anyone you choose.
